Álvaro Fuertes joins the Team Torrentó project and will make his debut in the FIM JuniorGP Championship in the 2025 season.
The young rider got his start in the world of motorbikes thanks to his father, a former Valencian rider. He used to take him to the races when he was a little boy and watching him ride inspired him to want to compete. He hasn't stepped off a bike since he was 3 years old.
He started on a 50cc motocross bike and at the age of 4 he joined the KSB Sport initiation school. At the age of 9, on a 65cc bike, he took part in a few races in the Spanish Supermotard Championship. 2017 was the first time he raced on a big circuit: that year he took part in some races of the Hawkers Cup. His first full season was in the 85GP class of the Spanish Championship.
Last season Fuertes finished an excellent 4th in his first full year in the Supersport category of the Spanish Superbike Championship. Now he joins Team Torrentó to bring all his potential and be one of the favourites for the title.
